Company History

Kook & Son, Inc. was established in 1906 to provide plumbing and heating services. As the company has grown, we have become more diverse, with specialized services such as air conditioning, duct and dryer vent cleaning, water filtration (both whole house and drinking water systems) and full-scale renovations. We also offer service and maintenance agreements. Throughout the years, our company mission has remained the same: to provide professional, high-quality work with competitive pricing in North Jersey.

Kook & Son has its roots within the Jersey City, NJ community. Our original office was located in downtown Jersey City on 3rd Street for nearly 70 years. In the early 1970's, we moved to Cook Street in the Journal Square area, where we remained for many years until our move to our current location on Baldwin Avenue in 2017. Kook & Son provides Plumbing, Air Conditioning and Heating services in Hudson County, NJ and the surrounding North Jersey area, both private and public, residential and commercial. A few examples include Holy Rosary Church, Statco Warehouse, General Pencil Co., and many historic downtown properties.

Kook & Son is one of the premier plumbing, heating and cooling companies in North Jersey, and possibly the oldest. We are located in Jersey City in Hudson County, NJ. We also serve Hoboken, Bayonne, and the North Hudson communities. Recent projects outside of Jersey City include the historical building at 1001 Washington Street in Hoboken (today the Elysian Café), several Hudson Street brownstone renovations, and numerous residential and commercial properties.
